We wanted to announce a new way for people to work with moving pictures, aimed at those who maybe thinking that they love our work but may not need some of the cinematic options that we offer!

I am pleased announce the "Clean Shoot"

This package starts at $2,499.00 and entails:

* One Cinematographer (which could be dave, joe or another trained MP camera person).
* 7 Hours of video coverage on the day of your wedding.
* One "clean" edit - no montages involved, just the natural sound of the day and a fade in & fade out around the different sections.
* One straight DVD burn with no menus

You will have an option to have the video edited at a later date.

This package will be made available for any remaining 2009 dates and beyond. We look forward to hearing from everyone. Whether you need the cinematic experience of our higher end packages or just a nice, clean record of your special day.

Before you read this, keep in mind that we were able to make this video happen thanks to Ricky Restiano's patience and help all day long! We had to use a lot of our new toys to make these shots happen and he worked with us not against us! Thanks Rick!

So here is something that we have never put together before at moving pictures! Nancy and Frankie asked us to push the limits on their wedding day and boy did we! We worked with ricky for the photos and I have to tip my hat to him cause he really took the images to a level that NO one can ever touch!

WOW... I suck

So sorry for not "blogging" but we have been extra crazy over here. We were in Vegas, shot a huge music video and still editing wedding videos around the clock. Note: This brides house was filmed when we had a nor'easter in town! All the roads were flooded and highways closed! Even with all that happening we made it there on time and we did a lot of interesting shots with our video light which Mr. ricky loves btw!

V3NY is doing very well at NAB!

As you all know we not only produce powerful wedding video's we also do high end video production. A few weeks ago we got the chance to shoot with two prototype cameras for JVC. They liked the footage so much they used it in their demo! They also asked us for an interview, please check us out!

Moving Pictures was choosen by JVC to shoot with two new camera's GY-HM100 and the GY-HM700L7XT

Hey all,
So sorry that we have been quiet on the blog but we have a lot going on. We are so excited to let our "bloggies" know that our company was chosen by JVC camera company to capture footage for them. They supplied us with the brand new GY-HM100 (which is not in stores yet) and the very insane JVC GY-HM700L7XT.
We started our day in central park where joe video took out the steadicam and chased everyone down that passed us. We wanted to show how well the camera handled motion. While joe was shooting I was shooting with the GY-HM100 which by the way is SO small. Every time I picked up the camera I had to remind myself that this was a FULL HD camera.
As the day went on we traveled all throughout the city, we captured many different images from still life to fast motion. We did end up getting an insane sunset shot and some very cool times square shots shots at night. I will post the video once joe and I get back from vegas in a few weeks. For now enjoy some stills that kevin took for us. Thanks Kevin and joe video!

ps. if you are saying who is kevin? Well.....here is the short story. About 2 months ago we had one of our editors move on and as she was leaving, kevin wanted in! Perfect timing! So we put him to work right away. Here is turning out to be a great editor. So look for his work in the blog.

may 11, 2008 HD recap

myself and my family have known the bride and her family for years. We actually knew them when we lived in the bronx. When I first met with lorena about her video, she told me she wanted more of a documentary feel to the video.
So that was our goal to just capture great moments without even saying a word! I can not tell you how much I love this recap! It just shows how the team at moving pictures can capture amazing moments without "guiding" the bride and groom. Half of the shots in the city are from far far away that joe and ricky grabbed without them even knowing they were shooting them! Check it out and enjoy.

What a crazy day! On their wedding day it had to be the WORST weather we had ever seen. I remember thinking that it couldn't get any worse when, sure enough, Hurricane Marty hit us! Highways were flooded, glen island was on back-up power, and to top it all off, we had a Wedding Day Edit to show. Well, thank God we were with Ricky and we all helped each other out. The job came out great and Maria and Tino had a blast.

You might ask what is super 8?

Super 8 is that old film that mom and dad have stored in their attic. Their films are probably either their wedding videos or just some old great memories.
We have been getting many requests to have super 8 film transferred to video to preserve the memories forever.

What options you ask?

1. Raw transfer from film to Standard Definition DVD or Blu Ray High Definition DVD
2. Transfer with light editing. We would put film to music with titles.
3. Transfer with heavy editing where we try to tell a story with effects, music, titles and pictures.

We are also offering VHS tape to DVD if you like.

I was so excited to see my cousin frankie getting married. I was also excited that I was able to be a guest at the reception for once. Thanks joe for letting me party that day. Leah's Birthday Weekend!

Holy Cow I am soooo tired! My wife turned 30 on wednesday and then my daughter turned 2 on friday! Between work, a romantic dinner with my wife and kids parties I really need a break. I am so happy that leah's friends party went so well today. We went to JW Tumbles in Rye. We found out about this great place when one of my previous grooms told me he worked there. Neto wasn't kidding when he told me she would come home tired! I might bring leah everyday so she will sleep through the night.
