Let it snow, let it snow

When I got home on friday leah told me "daddy, snow". So we bundled her up and we were having fun in the snow 10 minutes later. We made a snow man and we even tried to have a snow ball fight, but I lost. Figures! I love this timeless moments that I get to spend with my kids! Hopefully next time I can win in the snow ball fight. Dave

A great day at a famous place.
Jen + Mike got married at the renowned Metropolitan Building in Queens NY, the location of photo shoots for Vogue, Martha Stewart Weddings and countless others.
The couple fit right in, bringing their timeless look to this antique, textured locale.
We utilized every inch of this classic space to show the fun and excitement this special couple brought to their special day.

I just love the colors in this video! Shooting in the fall has many challenges but the one thing you are promised is the color of the leaves. Maureen + Dennis wanted to add a touch of the city to their wedding so they hired a NYC taxi cab to drive them around all day. Very cool guys.

*MUST SEE* urban setting pre-shoot

What a great couple to work with! Frank and Nancy told me on our first meeting that they wanted something edgy and different for their wedding. My only reply was "well you came to the right place".
For their pre-shoot ricky, joe video and I went to the city and then off to our secret location for those cool broken building shots. We really pushed their limits when we put them in a building with a funky hallway but visually it worked! Frank also wanted to include some shots with his custom chopper that his brother built, we really had a lot of fun shooting the bike. Hopefully you all like our different, edgy approach to a pre-shoot.

PS. I have to give credit where credit is due, the shot when frank/nancy are looking up, laying on the wooden crates. Ricky actually grabbed the camera for me and got the shot! Thanks buddy.

new addition

hi everyone, what a past few days I have had. If you don't already know my wife gave birth to our second child on Monday!
Tyler Joseph Venturini was born at 9:58 am at saint johns hospital in Yonkers. He weighed in at 7pds 6oz and is 21 inches long. Thank god he has his mothers height. I am uploading some iPhone photos because the hospital doesn't have wifi. Hopefully by wednesday night I will be home and post some better shots. I will be back to work on Friday but please feel free to call or email, geoff or vicky will get back to you. Thanks everyone for your prayers and see you soon.

AnnMarie and Daniel were two great clients to work for! It's so funny cause I feel like we have seen them at every wedding this year. Here is a little piece of their finished product. I meet Mike and Anna when I was working at news 12 westchester. Mike was a camera operator at the time and Anna was a reporter/producer. I have so many great stories of working with mike and anna. When working with mike we would some how always find a way to get a laugh on major shoots, especially when our main boss arnie was there. (golf incident) LOL...
They had such a great wedding day, great weather and great laughs!

bettina & anthony 11.1.08 wedding day edit

What a day we had on saturday! We shot in so many different areas of NY. We started our day in the bronx/brooklyn, then went to the meat packing district (NYC) and finally ended up in New Jersery at the venetian.
It's so nice when you have a couple like Bettina and Anthony who were very outgoing. They had no problem with us pushing them to try different shots especially in meat packing land where your dress could possibly get a little dirty.

what a blog week!

I am a blogging freak this week. LOL... Sometimes you have to laugh at yourself.

This recap your about to watch is special to us. Sometime last year ricky's brother randy got engaged and we were asked to capture their special day. Randy and Miranda are such down to earth people, they let us just do whatever we wanted on their wedding day. The only person that gave us trouble was ricky, who if you know him is a big jokester. Once we got passed the laughs we went into action. The day turned out great and we even had a few tears! Thanks Randy, Miranda, Ricky, Catherine, Claudia, Mike and Vinnie for bringing us into your family.

As most of you know I have a wonderful daughter and this past January she turned 1. So of course me being mr. video guy I put together a little video of her growing up. She is a lot older now but I happened to be looking through some tapes today and came across it, so I figured I would post it. I am still amazed at how fast they grow up!

Family Fun Day 2008

What a great time we had today. We decided a while ago to have a big BBQ to thank our workers for the great job that they do all year round. The day started off a little wet in the morning/mid afternoon but that did not stop us. We had a great volleyball game (which ended with the rain) and then had some great food under our pavilion. Once the rain cleared we had to empty out our parking lot so we can play softball, which went well. Here are a few pictures of the day! Enjoy and look back at the blog this week cause we are announcing something big.
